My chicks FINALLY hatched. A day and a 1/2 late, temps were dropping at night and slowed them up. My SFH.... set 18, 17 to lockdow and 16 hatched

pretty good for free eggs. My project eggs hatched well too. I got 2 SLW and 1 still nothing..... one SLW seems to have a bad neck..... advice? Seems fine other wise. Not walking, but I think that is because of its neck.

My hatch didn't do so well. Set 42, 25 went to lockdown, 10 hatched. Most of yours hatched Donna, and then 1 SFH and 3 or 4 splash orps from Walli. Love them! My lav maran project eggs didn't hatch. But there was a lot of varying factors this time, and are all corrected. DH, bless his heart, is really wanting to help since the recent disaster, but sometimes he tries too hard??

At least he is TRYING. Let me know how this next batch does.

I put more in lockdown today. tomorrow I will move the babies to a brooder. Time just slipped away today. We were running behind because my mother had a DR appt. I did clean ALL 10 Breeding pens today... hoping my eggs will be a little cleaner now. The rain was a MESS and still is. Hubby secured the plastic today so it will not fly up and let more rain in.... let see if it works.

You got any ideas to help my SLW? I need to look that up I think. Maybe vitamins.....

I calibrated all my thermometers today and have the hygrometers calibrating as we speak.  I asked my Mr for suggestions on how to attach the thermostat and light to the cooler lid of my old incubator, I wanna turn it into a hatcher.  His response was a dumbfounded look and "I thought "we" just bought a new incubator? why do you need to fix the other one?  Isn't one enough?  Staggered hatches?  why on earth would you need that?"

Sigh.  he just doesn't get it.

Here is the lone Isbar that hatched at 3:30 in the morning! Yes, I was there to see it. Was lonely so we added the mirror and she seems happy with her "new friend". hahaha
