Here is the lone Isbar that hatched at 3:30 in the morning! Yes, I was there to see it. Was lonely so we added the mirror and she seems happy with her "new friend". hahaha

Congrats! One is better than none

The duck has internally pipped :D just saw the little turd breathing and shake its head lolol. Ok I admit it I'm excited. Chickys dont get me excited anymore but a ducky sure did :D I prolly shoulda checked the turkeys but oh heck ill go back and look at them in a minute

I had a good hatch on my SFH..... I set 18 eggs, 17 made it to lockdown and 16 hatched

It was almost short lived though. I left them in the hatcher over night since not all were hatched. The next morning I came in and found most of them laying down.... my heart sank...... NOT AGAIN! I opened it up pulled them out. 2 were dead.... several were very limp some woke up and stirred but didn't seem quite right. I put them in the brooder, I knew one was not going to make it. ... it didn't. BUT the rest seemed much better this morning. They were kinda shaky after I took them out but most of that was gone today. 1 still seemed like he didn't have his land legs yet. ALL the other chicks were fine.... any ideas what that could have been???? I can only guess it was heat. They were all in one basket and maybe with that many they just got too hot.

More are hatching today, project eggs, blue barred rocks, SLW and WL. I think 7 were out and several more had pipped. My bator has been running cool at night so they may be a little late.

Since I am new at this, I can only guess. But I read that they use up a lot of oxygen at birth. You might want to check to see if your vents are opened after hatch. Sorry about your loses.
