I better move my reg hatcher tomorrow. I need to put eggs in lockdown too. I don't have anywhere to put the new chicks...... dang.... might have to breakdown and clean that top brooder I don't like to use cuz it is too high.... but desperate times.....

i am going to have to break out the old horse trough tomorrow and relocate some of them to free up a couple of the totes... I think the egg that peeped at me might be one of yours..the blue ones.

Just bought lumber for a brooder yesterday. I've got 69 eggs setting right now for 2 different hatch dates and my son will be getting 25 day old chicks for 4H in about 6 weeks. The brooder will be 4'X7' and 2' tall. Big enough? I can put dividers to separate by age.

Let me know how it goes! Since it is official I am out of space I REALLY need to cut my hatches down some or start selling chicks ASAP...... I need to get rid of ALL those black one from the Isabelles since I am not planning to use them. I can grow them up some more and sell them as med-dark egg layers. LOL

or you can just buy more lumber

LOL lumber is the LAST thing I need to buy. I have a 4000 sq ft barn FULL of pallets wood 2Xs you name it. I am getting 9 new brooders built this weekend from some of that scrap but still need to sell some chicks.

Hi everyone I have an incubator question. I am starting a hatch next week in a genesis HB, and when I plug it in the hygrometer reads 0% humidity. There was no directions to calibrate or to make any adjustments to set it so is as is right now. Is it really 0%? Do I need to do something for the dry hatch I am planning or is this too dry? I live in Mt so it is not very humid here ever. And the plugs leave in or take out currently out.
