I turned my incubators of for exactly two days....then swapped a few times so I have some polish, 4 turkey, sizzles or frizzles don't remember, dorkings to replace an small order of chicks that somehow a customer killed , no idea half were 4 week old birds the other 3 day olds, my wheaten Maran eggs for the next 2 weeks my Roo died ( suspect injury) and I only have 2 hens had 4 of those eggs in already...I need to put some Dorkings in for myself to get a few new hens for next spring....and well I am getting a pair of black copper Marans and i will want to test fertility so i will need to put a couple of their eggs in also.....

I don't have a lot of eggs in..most are shipped so i won't have very many maybe 6 to 8 chicks besides my Marans which were cottage hills stock I basically have to hatch those i would guess maybe 6 to 8.. I only hve two hens and it is getting hot not getting many eggs...then i am done until august when i will hatch some for a swap meet....I only have 1 incubator on and it isn't even half full and I am being good not trying to fill it up...

Are you on the right thread? we find ways to FILL the bators...... Even OVER fill the bators........ double stacking, cabinets, more cabinets, industrial incubators.....

I try to be good an not set so many eggs at one time..... yeah right that does not happen. I set 180 eggs yesterday. 34+ some of mine Guinea I ordered. The rest where chicken eggs..... maybe I didn't fill it up.... but I came close maybe 165 so I was a little better.

My neighbor found a nest of guinea eggs and brought over about 40+ mine I set them sunday no chicken eggs.... I did just want to do one hatch a week if I can. I also have ordered 4 doz coral blue guinea eggs. I have an order for keets and I will keep the rest. Only want to keep the colors this year. I need more only getting 2-5 eggs a day IF I CAN FIND THEM.

I know ...I am owed 12 eggs in a swap....I just don't have any eggs to put in or the extra $$ to get some good ones....and impatiently waiting on some bantams to start laying 2 hens have been squatting for 2 months...and a few other breeds right at 16 to 18 weeks..

12 eggs ordered 16 eggs received 14 eggs hatched 1 died after hatching (the one that had something hanging out of his butt) 13 live healthy babies.
That's AMAZING for shipped eggs!! What kind of turkeys are they?

Just candled Dorkings last night! Still have 5 going strong!!!! They go in the hatcher Wednesday. Whooohooo!

Put my first runner duck eggs in the incubator yesterday. I will keep adding every 3-4 days as my hen sees fit. There are only 4 and I decided they looked lonely (4 eggs in a 90 egg unit)

so I added 2 dozen EE eggs from my flock. First hatch from this roo.
