Oh Aspen, you are mistaken, silkies can take the heat. You just give them these little bikinis , pina colada, a mini pool , beach umbrella, and a fan. Piece of cake:-D

Tomorrow i promise! i locked them in the coop for the night. The roo escaped 3x's!!!!! I will let them run in the new pen tomorrow in the sun or rain but pics for sure. I had to dr for scale mites too really bad on the poor roo. Neighbor had no idea what that was so now she can fix it.

The worst part is, they leave their little sun glasses and flip flops all over and then kick sand in my face when I bend over to pick them up! Such divas!

Wow what a mental image!Silkies in bikinis? Little sunglasses? flip flops? I could end up having some really weird dreams tonight.

I've come to the conclusion that people here don't fall of the wagon, they jump! I know I did.

My incubator has a thick layer of dust on it (we have just had building work which is the main reason).

I have around 60 chickens. Everybody round here has chickens, so nobody wants to buy eggs, chickens etc. We are vegetarian.

BUT I want to hatch some more. Hubby says no.

What should I do.....sell the incubator? Start eating 30 egg omelettes? Sit on my hands? Get a divorce?
