Silkies in lockdown tonight! Come Friday they should be all hatched and looking pretty
Oh yea ,something happened today I fear.I was looking at the auction not bothering a soul and WHAM out of no where the BUY NOW button somehow got pushed
I think my computer is haunted and a ghost is trying to get me in trouble
However, I'm hopefully fixing to sell my whole mixed layer flock. Keep your fingers crossed!!
It would really be nice to cull of these birds down before winter sets in...AND of course then I can replace them..correct?

The chicken math rules clearly state that a flock owner must replace each bird sold with at least two birds for the good of the nation's economy. Are you with me here, ladies?
I,ve taken the advice on about dividing up the land according to breed and I'm planning a big spring hatch and I need advice on adding another breed . I have had RIRs, barred rocks, white leghorns, and even some Cornish crosses. I want a another good dual purpose breed and was wondering about Black Australorps. I'm now truly addicted to incubating and want to learn from those who been doing it for some time, I only started in June. Any and all advice would be appreciated because I've got a lot of work to do.

Sound good to me...
26 1st hatch
14
2nd hatch
36 to be set next weekend
76 total new babies
10 young pullets not laying yet
so 86 up and comers
Current flock
16 layers
11 roos
6 older pullets but still not laying but close
33 total "old Flock"
I still need some more Leghorns so that will be another 12 or so ... lets go with 3 to 1 that leaves room for the ones to sell
now that I see those numbers I really need to be stopped.... after all these hatches

There's a whole, older thread about "Accidentally Won Some Eggs In An Auction" brought to mind here.... and a Hatchaholics Thread, and a Chicken (Poultry) Addicts Anonymous which spawned the aforementioned threads.
