I have a Silverado pick up truck with an 8 foot bed! Anything fits in there, even full sheets of plywood and I can close the tailgate.Donna, how are the BR eggs doing? Did I tell you I hatched a lavender Am? Oh, and two ducks!:-D

That lav will help tons! I think people don't want to buy splits unless they know they are going to get lavs too. Hubby's truck has an 8ft bed too. The BR eggs are doing great.... I think 3-5 were clear but the rest are growing great!

The air cells are weird but not hurting anything I don't guess. I was almost tempted to buy your Lav Split eggs.... I only have about 4 doz in the bator. I don't think any will be lavs the way I have them in pens. I have the one lav split that is in the shop and she is pinking up, the other 2 lavs in the shop should be right behind her. That first batch of lav babies I hatched it looks like all of them are pullets. I can't remember how many.... I think there are 12 and all but 2 are pullets some are leghorn crosses too. I can't believe that. I also think most of the EE I have hatched are pullets WTH? NOT complaining mind you.

I have a chance to buy a 50 egg incubator that has no turner or fan, but it is only 15.00 Should I do it? What will I do with the chicks? Can I hide it from my husband? LOL

I think they are about $40-45 for just the turner so yeah that sounds like a better deal.

I made a turner for my homemade bator. I have seen some easy turners like a roller thing to put under the incubator and just roll it to the other side. Look around on here and you will see all kinds of ideas. I think most just use pvc pipes. You can always turn by hand

BUY IT NOW! YOu don't need a turner, loads of hand turning options, and IF you want a fan you can put one in. Grab it! Even if it's an LG.
