Still to arrive are 12+ Ancona Ducks, 9 Rouen/Muscovies, 12+ Lemon Cuckoo Orps, 12+ Runners, 30 assorted chicks & ducks from Mrhein277 & 6+ phoenix.

Picking up Bourbon Reds & possibly some others tomorrow night in partial exchange for a pair of blue slate turkeys.

What do you do with so many chickens? I want to hatch lots of them, but I am afraid to get stuck with live merchandise that I need to feed..

It's exciting hatching new stuff isn't it? I just set for the first time some pheasants and quail. I can't wait for them to hatch! They were sent to me by maryruthlangdon. They are red gold x ringnecks and black melanistics pheasants and she didn't tell me what kind of quail.

Luckily, around here not too many people hatch their own, so people are even renting space in my bators for THEIR eggs. I charge $1-10 per egg (peafowl, rhea, emu & ostrich are obviously more than bantam chickens & I only charge 25 cents each for button quail, regular quail are 50 cents each & pheasants are 75 cents) depending on eggs si2e & incubation period. My stuff is selling faster than I can hatch it & I have a waiting list for several breeds. I have had people come from 2-3 hrs away or more to get chicks & started birds.

Today was day 19.... I had about 6-7 pips already should have some chicks tomorrow. Not due till Tuesday.

The weather has cooled off and it is raining

again! we must have gotten a couple of inches at the farm as the 55 gal rain barrel was full

Couple of more showers like that and the creek will get back up to normal and start running more. (never dried up, just got really low)
