IncuCube Bator

make sure the lid is matched up all the way around that is what I found when my humidity stayed low it wasn't closed properly. I just used mine as a hatcher again I have more shipped eggs but they were not packed well so I'm thinking that if it doesn't work well again it will not be the "cubes" fault. Looking forwards to you hatch good luck.

how are they doing?

So far they look good, but for my humidity I filled all 5 cups and still had to put water into the bottom of my incCube. That brought it up to about 50%. I've noticed with opening and closing the bator so often , the lid doesn't fit as tightly as it used to. So that could be part of my problem, but my temp has been real good.

yeah..I have the Rev. 2 turner..but the motor is from the original turner...it still gets hot..but turns just fine. I still don't know if I'd trust it in the incubator. I also want them to make some qual egg trays to fit on top...as I always incubate quail and partridge eggs..never chicken...so I have no use for those large egg holder holes.

I still haven't heard back on when the egg turner motor and the turner will be shipped they were supposed to of been in last week... I still need them to send me the hydometer/thermometer also, when they send out the new motor and egg turner..

I ordered a candler last week and it arrived Saturday..

Don't know how much longer my pair of Welsh Harlequins will be fertile for this season..

I heard from Randy this after noon.. The new motors came in and they have been doing comparisions between the Hovabators, Little Giants, and the IncuCube turner motors and that they all got hot..
Hope they get it figured out soon.. I'm afraid I'm going to run out of time to hatch any eggs..
I'm dead in the water till I get a new turner and the hyrometer/thermometer.. and hopefully a turner motor that won't cook the eggs.. I may have to use the one I have when they send the replacement turner and if it is too hot go from there.. I'm new to trying to hatch eggs so it will be a learning experience for me too..

The temps from day 1 have stayed consistent at 99.8 - 100.6 I do see some changes between early am and pm temps. Humidity has stayed at 49-50% for the past week. The Egg O Meter means you give up an egg slot but it appears to be working well. To monitor the humidity I added a temp/humidity reader from Walmart. Cost something like $12.00 and has a probe end so that is sitting at what would be at the underside of the egg and the temps between it and the Egg O meter have been in some cases exact or just a off ,03 or less. I also like the fact that the reader from the store also tells the time. Makes logging reading an all in one process. The turner has been very stead and quiet. With the temp and humidity reading well I have not opened the IncuCube since setting the eggs. I figure too many cooks in the kitchen so to speak may spoil something. One big plus on the two readers is the fact that I did not have to 'find" room in the IncuCube for other items.

I can't get mine regulated . I've been tinkering with it since Tuesday.. Plus the dial isn't even on the colored part. it's pointing to the writting.. I had it at 97.5 once but when I tried to up the temp a little its back up to 100 degress or more.. If I do get it to hold at 99.5 how in the heck am I going to get it to a little lower for lock down????

any suggestions. has anyone else run into this???
Oh when I had it on the colored areas red it was 120 degrees and blue lowered a little..

Mine is a quarter of a turn still in the blue zone how far did you turn it? When adjusting it I barely move it and mine will hold the temp even if the lid isn't shut tight.....
