I haven't had issues keeping the heat on mine it stays at 99.5 - 100 I do have it sitting in the cardboard box that it was shipped in though (not sure if that matters or not) also I've notice that if I cover 1/2 of the lid with a towel (storms here so I was worried about power outages/ keeping heat) that it goes up quickly to 100-101. but when I remove it goes back down. @FourandSix what kind of eggs do you have in & how many? curious about the bunching up. mine are guinea eggs and I notice that they are small enough to completely turn around during rotation.

I keep my temp at 99 -99.5 and all chicks and air cells are the size they should be. Luckily I have been checking the forecast and no thunderstorms.

Updating on my Incuview. I cant say enough good about it. I have been saving for a Marsh Roll-X but I might just get another Incuview. In there now: 12 guinea eggs, 6 OEGB eggs, 10 Icelandic eggs and 18 Blue Swedish duck eggs. Since December I have incubated chickens, turkeys, ducks and quail.

you do different kinds at the same time? How does that work out with the stop turning and lockdown time?
Next year I'm planning on Pea & guinea eggs. I was thinking of getting another incuview or a hovabator 1588 so I can do staggered batches & use one for a hatcher.

Hi there, I am not the one having trouble with eggs bunching up. I'm on day 6 and haven't had any issues yet, except when my house gets too warm and I have to change the room temperature setting. Otherwise, all is well. Knock on wood!

They’re normal chicken eggs, Marans and olive Eggers. My incubator isn’t full so I moved them a little farther a part and that seemed to stop them from bunching

Is your vent plug open? Did you check and calibrate the incubator thermometer beforehand? I used an incutherm but the difference between the two was very small. If it doesn't stabilize, I would consider calling the company. One of the advantages of having an Incuview is being to talk to someone if you have issues. I've heard they're very helpful.

My kitchen is currently 79.7 and my incuview is 99.7.

The vent plug is open, I am using an incutherm and an accurite, they’ve been reading the same, but when they read 99 the incubator thermometer reads 97 or 98

Yup I do different kinds at the same time. I have an Incuview for incubating and a Hovabator as a hatcher. I have always incubated more on the drier side and then higher humidity the last three days. That is what has worked for me best. I want to do peas next year too!
