Indian Runner Ducks

I have 2 black males and 2 Peking Indian runner females. I'm curious how much they should eat a day? They are not laying eggs that I can find they are free range on my pasture and pond.

My ducks do not free range and eat approximately 1 cup of food each per day, maybe a bit more.

I just keep feed out for mine during daylight hrs and take it up when I put them to bed. I don't put feed and water inside their house they are such piggies and messy.

How old are your ducks and good possibility if they are at egg laying age they maybe laying in the pond.

Miss Lydia - at what age did you remove water from their house at night? I'm ready but not sure my 8 week olds are... And do you put it back in their house when they start molting (in case of accidental feather swallowing)?

6 weeks is a good time. and no I haven't ever had one choke on feathers. At night if no light they are asleep.

6 weeks is a good time. and no I haven't ever had one choke on feathers. At night if no light they are asleep.

I found 3 busted eggs this morning by the wetland area near my pond.
