i have two indian runner ducks both not a year old yet. my question is do they have a good temper towards kittens who barely know how to protect themself? mother cat was probly killed. any thoughts would help. my hens havent harmed them nor my rooster

Its actually visa versa. I just adopted out some feral kittens and as soon as they can open their eyes they can hiss and scratch. Cats are little killing creatures. And unless your Runners have a raptor style hook on their leg there pretty much defenseless!

Keep in mind even though they could be really clean cats their scratches can leave lead to Serious infections!

I have 7 cats and 2 ducks. My cats don’t mess with the ducks and the ducks don’t mess with the cats. My ducks can actually walk right through my cats when they are huddled together and they all just look at each other. But if the ducks flap their wings, the cats are under my bed in 2 seconds flat! I would never leave my ducks alone with my cats though - no matter how tame they are, they still have a natural instinct to hunt and kill just about anything that looks tasty. :drool
