Indian Runners

yes they are fawn and white Runners. to clarify a previous post. All the Pekins I have ever hatched were yellow at hatch time. Fawn and white runners are yellow and have the fawn coloring in the facial areas. So the feed store just had no idea what to look for. Looks to me like you have 2 drakes

Yes, all white birds are yellow at birth. The poster did not say they were purchased as ducklings.

We have four and all were solid yellow when we purchased them about 10 weeks ago. How can you tell by looking that they're drakes? I'm pretty sure the one on the left is but I don't know which one that is on the right. But we do have two drakes so you're probably right. The two boys have slightly darker faces than the two girls but, unless they're standing next to each other, I have to listen to their voices to know who's who. I'll have to check tomorrow for drake feathers.

it is hard to tell for sure from that pic. I was going by the dark faces, and the one in the back appeared to have a sex feather.

They look old enough to tell by their voices. The males whisper and the females quack.

My Runners love the water but are just as happy in a puddle of water as a pond. I have made steps for them to get into a baby pool. Just two thick pieces of wood of different heights will work. They do not fly at all, not even the little lift that chickens get. They love companionship like most ducks and are easy to get along with chickens.
