Indiana 2010 Chickenstock-2011 NEWS!!

Yes they are. They just carry the lavender gene and can pass it to their chicks. If you breed the splits together, you will get lavenders, lavender splits, and blacks.

I might sell a few. I know I have Lavender split olive egger and lavender split Ameraucana pullets but I don't know how many. I can count them and see if I would be willing to sell some.

................................................................MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT......................................................................
Previously, I stated that there would be no parking in the field next door, well we called the neighbor today to ask if it was ok to block access to the field to prevent anyone from parking there. Long story short, all differences have been resolved and they offered the field for parking. We have graciously accepted and want you all to know that parking WILL be in the same spot as last year. Now remember, if you bring a large amount of birds, please bring tents or canopies for shade as the field is not shaded. Also, anyone who would like to utilize the field to set up a booth to sell items, is free to do so. Remember, this field belongs to our neighbors, so please make sure trash makes it to a waste receptacle or ask where it should be disposed of. Also, make sure not to cause ruts or peel out; if it is raining we will revert to the original parking, which is on the street or in our yard. Please feel free to PM us if you have any questions!! Rob and I will try to PM everyone on the list by the weekend to make sure everyone knows.

sorry I didn't reply back sooner I have been having issues getting on here all day.

Someone had asked me about a cuckoo Maran cockerel I have and I can't find the post. If you are the one could you please let me know who you are and if you are still interested? Also, I have one cuckoo pullet left if you want a pair.

I have been away from BYC too long. I will have to miss Chickenstock this year. We have a daughter to marry off that day. We aren't letting her fiance get away! She did get pullets as a bridal gift! I will be thinking about it though. Very gracious hosts and a very pleasant group to visit with. My suggestion is to have a gooseberry pie baking competition; I might miss the wedding to be the judge testing them all!

Here is what I have to bring
oegb pullet-for Phoenix Feather Farms
Black orpington roo (he will be about 7 months old)
Cuckoo Maran cockerel ( 3 months)
Cuckoo Maran pullet (3months)
two silkie mixes (one I'm pretty sure is a boy the other I think may be a girl)
White silkie (beardless)

5# bags of DE for $5
1 gallon nipple waterer $10
5 gallon for $20

If you are interested in any of these please let me know!
