I don't think I need such a big incubator, lol, but as far as the Polish hen goes, I think we might be interested in her. My kids have been after me for Polish for awhile, but I'm not crazy about all the colors they come in, but I LOVE Buff Laced. Also like White, Splash, and few other colors. And if she likes to be held, she'll fit in great here. Most of my hens like being held and my kids will happily oblige. So will I! I have a Cochin hen that gets underfoot and trips us just so we'll scoop her up and hug and kiss her. So I love the friendly ones.

Out of curiosity, is anyone bringing Faverolles? White or Salmon? Bantam or Standard? That's another breed I'm interested in, plus I think my neighbor is looking for a pullet. I have to ask her again. If not, there's always next year. I'm in no rush to jump into that breed, but I find them to be beautiful and would like to eventually invest in that breed.

Lol I wasn't directing the incubator to you china, just anyone who would want it cuz I really need to sell it. I think 250 is a heck of a deal on something so rare and hard to find, I just hope someone would be interested in it.

Now about my buff polish hen, she loves to be held. Gives me no problems at all, so is it official? Should I reserve her for you?

So far I haven't had any problems with the young chick being with any other chickens or people- it's super sweet (although this is the first mixed chick I've ever had, so I can't speak from experience about how fast they mature other than saying that there haven't been any crows yet.)

I've mixed chickens before and as long as they have enough space, introduction time, etc. I haven't had any problems. I am beginning to have issues with the OEGBs though since I have several of those and NO HENS- so they are getting antsy and running around the yard looking like puppies who have lost a bone. THey even get on the edge of the fence and look like they want to run away to find someone.

I know you weren't directing the incubator at me, I was just in a good mood and playing with you, lol.

Yes, my daughter is excited about her. We definitely want her.

Does she have a name?

Here is an updated list of my potential inventory:

Turkey poults - mottled black & mottled x black Spanish - various ages - They're $7 each.

Guinea keets - various colors and ages. They're $5 each.

Ducklings - Swedish mix (I think the dad is not pure Swedish, I got them as adults from someone, don't know their background), but the babies look like blue or black Swedish, Swedish x rouen mix, Saxony, Muscovy. $4 each.

Diamond doves - I think a male and a female, they were hatch mates. $20 each.

Male coturnix quail - have a few more adult males I need to thin out - $1.50 each.

Coturnix quail chicks - $1 each.

Mutt chicken hatching eggs, brown, green, white - fertility has been really good - great eggs if somebody just wants to play around with hatching and/or just get some mixed breed chicks - $1 a dozen.

Might have a few turkey eggs or duck eggs, and possibly a few melanistic pheasant eggs.

The following things are from my neighbors stock that I can/will bring along:

Buff Sebrights

Gold Sebrights

Large Fowl Blue Cochins

Maybe some other random bantam breeds depending on what he has on hand....

Prices on above chicks - $3 each for small chicks, straight run. $4 or $6, depending on size, for older ones that you can tell the sex on.

Peacock chicks - $20 each

Call Ducks - babies or adult pairs

Crested Ducks

Welsh Harlequins

Saxony

Prices on any above ducklings - $4 each, ones a little bit older - $6 each. Adult call ducks $10 each.

Melanistic pheasant chicks - $4 each. (These hatched from my eggs that my neighbor got from me.)

Things that I am LOOKING for:

Modena pigeons
Giant runt pigeons
Lady Amherst pheasants
Chukar or chukar eggs
Coturnix quail hens
Other kinds of quail, I'd love blue scales, but am open to the possibility of anything, lol
Eggs.....I might consider anything from lizard to platypus...LOL.... Well, maybe not quite such a broad spectrum as that....but, I'm open to suggestions.

chseeads... I have three female Coturnix that are about a year old and laying if you would like them (No charge, or maybe a disc on the three poults I am getting)... I also have three males one golden and two wild that need to go elsewhere or will become dinner.. If anyone wnats the males let me know they are free...

Ok, my older daughter is bringing birds to sell too and would like to know if anyone would be interested. She has a bunch of really cute (and super sweet) Silkie/Cochin mixes, some black and some blues, all around 8 weeks old that she would like to find good homes for. Would anyone be interested in them? $3 each for them. She handles them daily and they are used to being picked up and snuggled. In fact a few of them will crawl into her lap when she sits down in the yard just so she will kiss them and hug them. If you want some super cute and super sweet little mixes, let us know. She has a stunning cockerel for sale too. He's a Silkie/Cochin mix too. He's dark gray with gold streaked through his comb and his top hat. He's absolutely gorgeous and very gentle. He's 17 weeks old. She's hoping to sell some so that she can earn some money to buy new inner tubes for her bike. So if interested, please let me know and I'll tell her. The picture below is from when they were about 5 weeks old. They're bigger and have much more feathering now. She also has a Silkie/Dark Brahma chick that is colored almost like a Partridge chick. Very pretty.

Hey, yeah, I'll take the ladies....

I only had like 5 females, and one of them died of unknown causes the other day, so I only have like 4 hens.

Thanks!

Sounds good to me .. I'll load em up and Chop the boys then....
