Been home about 1/2 hour--now have to go unload chickens!
What a day! Blessings on you, Rob and Kathleen, for a great time. And thanks to all you fantastic BYCers who make being around you such a joy.

Thanks again, Rob and Kathleen-you two are the best hosts! We had such a good time, and that hog was fantastic! I am not kidding-it was the best hog roast I have ever eaten. My uncle usually does a hog for our family reunion but they end up dry and tough.

If you found a copper round cake plate, it is mine. I thought Jason got it and he thought I got it. Turns out we both left it!
Got my turkeys home and one of the RPs (OF COURSE!) died already

It was alive when we got home, but very listless and it had a floppy neck. I brought it in and fed it some sugar water and it perked up, but died soon after. I think the others may have stepped on it and hurt it somehow.
It was so nice to see familiar faces as well as new faces!

Hey, for everyone who resides here in the city. Get yourself a bird or two ready next year to SHOW in our MARION COUNTY FAIR. Lets help out ATTACK CHICKEN who is now responsible for our hobby thriving here locally in our County Fair's Poultry Show. She was very nice to ask me to help by showing. After hearing there was ONLY 5 birds shown in the OPEN SHOW, who could resit from helping. 5 birds? That sucks! IF we're to be the best chickenstock in the country, lets start out and have fun at the County fair and boost that up a few hundred birds. And then next year ATTACK CHICKEN will tell everyone how BYC helped the Countty fairs Poultry Show attendance.

Thanks for being to hospitable and opening up your home for everyone to enjoy. It was a perfect day weather wise. I wish it would have been able to come earlier in the day, but I enjoyed the time I got to be there. It was nice to finally see some of the faces that you interact with here on BYC. I just wish I had room for more chickens.
