Thanks so much for another great party!

Thank you for such a wonderful time. I really did enjoy myself. I love my beautiful chicks I got.

I am sorry I was responsible for ending the festival on such a sad note. Just wanted to report that the little polish chick that my Wyandotte rooster attacked is up walking and stretching and preening. I have the other little polish in with him as it is really scared of the other chicks, even my little silkies I got. I think it helped the injured one to have him in there with him. I am watching carefully to make sure everyone is getting along okay. I do not remember who took the Wyandottte rooster, but thank you so much. I hope he does well for you.
Everyone was so supportive and helpful when my little chick got attacked. I am totally blaming myself, and my ignorance as a new chicken owner for what happened. I am very grateful for all who gave me suggestions and told me what to do. I think he is going to be fine. Judy, thank you for the second polish. I think it is going to help the injured one having his brother in with him. He really perked up once they were back together.
Again, I apologize for bringing the party down at the end. Thank you all, and I am looking forward to next year and being more knowledgeable about chickens.
We are just leaving for Rural King, now that it is open, to get the Wonder Dust you all told me about. I will post pictures later today.

Oh, how do I activate the Gold Feather membership I won?

I had a great time yesterday. So did my mom. I shouldn't have brought her though. She's worse than me about getting more birds!!! I only wanted 2 more ducks, and came home with 7!!!!! The kids are both so head over heels in love with the little chickens that they were given, and the one Corey gave my younger daughter, she rode all the way home in my mom's arms, and when we got home I fed and watered her, and when I finally penned her up for the night, she didn't want us to put her down!!! And the one my older daughter got, I don't think her feet are going to be touching the ground very much this week! We got some beautiful birds, sold some beautiful birds, and I'm glad we went. We had a wonderful afternoon. It was a nice turn out and I loved seeing all of the wonderful varieties. Can't wait til next year's! I'm putting a ban on anymore ducks though, I'm now up to 13!!!!!! I'm loving on my new Silkie right now, and my younger DD's d'Uccle/Silkie mix. Great day yesterday, thank you sooooooo much for hosting it Kathleen and Rob!

Kathleen and Rob, what can I say but, you two are just the best. You sure know how to throw a party. I did come home with the cutest little blue splash silkie girl from little americana mom. I think I am in love all over again. The hog was to die for (pork is my favorite) and all those delish side dishes were so good. Who ever brought the baked mac and cheese, it was soooo good. I would love to make some of that at home.
Thank you ever so much for bringing us all together for another great year.

Siler, thank you. When you get the recipe be sure to post it or send me a pm. It was one of the best I have ever had.

Rob and Kathleen my mom and I had a wonderful time. You guys did a great job!! I can't wait for next year. And hopefully I'll have a new coop so I can actually buy birds this time. I have an old greenhouse connected to the house that I've been thinking about converting into a coop for banams and seramas. I'm sorry I had to leave before I could say goodbye and thank you for such a great time. Mom was tired and I'm still struggling with severe anemia. When I start to feel disoriented then I know it's time to get home fast.

Chickycat, don't be feeling guilty--we all make mistakes, even with experience. I recently lost a peachick that I left in with his two guinea hatchmates too long. Nobody else hatched at the same time, so they became brooder mates. I knew that the guineas would grow faster than he at first but didn't count on their rambunctiousness and his slender neck. I found him with the neck broken. This wasn't ignorance--I knew better! I just waited too long because I didn't want him to be alone.

I'm glad that the injured chick is perking up and hope he continues to mend. On the plus side (for me!, I feel honored to meet such a sensitive, caring person, to say nothing of a fellow Reiki!

This morning was the first chance I had to really look at the birds that I bought. I'm thrilled with them--they're all so beautiful. And I'm proud of myself for not buying anything (other than t-shirt and raffle tickets) that I hadn't reserved in advance--that's a first for me!

Thanks again for the great party, Kathleen and Rob, and thanks to all who helped me load and with my blown fuse.
