That's too funny! That's what I was thinking the whole time too!

Chickycat, the Polish chicks hatched about the first week in July, and the silkies a week or so earlier. I've been really bad about keeping track of my hatches this summer. My sister Candice (the one who was with me Saturday) had a bad stroke at the beginning of the summer, so hospitals, doctor's appointments, etc. kept me pretty preoccupied. I tended to stick eggs into the incubator without even labeling them and moving them to the hatcher when I saw a pip. Terrible, huh? And then I was throwing chicks together without regard for breed so have been trying to figure some of them out; not hard when they get a little older, but some look pretty similar as chicks.

I don't want anything for the second Polish chick; it went for a good cause. If you feel that you must do something, take a bag of clay cat litter or a couple of bottles of bleach to the Humane Society.

I think that you had mentioned that you had wanted a couple more silkies. There will be some swaps coming up in Kentucky in the next few weeks. There is one at Franfort the 4th Saturday of each month; in Shelbyville the first Saturday each month. A really good one is at Milton Fri and Sat of Labor Day weekend; they only have one in the spring and one in the fall and are usually well attended. At swaps you have to be a little more careful about checking out the birds than at a BYC meetup, but I've bought some nice ones at swaps. I'll probably be taking birds to Milton; it's one I really enjoy--lots of nice people and a variety of birds, animals, flea market stuff.

pbirdhaven, thank you It is okay if the dates are not exact, I just wanted an idea of age. Thanks for the info on the swaps. I think I will wait for a bit and see what I actually have as far as males and females.

Well, I for one, found it funny. But then again look who I'm married too. I think he has warped me!

Warped? Maybe that's what I am. Kathleen laughed at it too. Did I do this to her? No... Ken is a good dude! I wish ya'll lived closer! I really enjoyed you both! And your kids! You are good people.

I added what pictures I had to the photobucket account. Wish we had taken more pictures. My camera screen broke and now I can't tell if I'm taking pictures in focus or even centered, and it's very frustrating, so we didn't photograph very much. I hope others got some good pics of more than just the pinata, lol.
