INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Thanks old salt for posting the duck pics and info. I have an 18 wk old Pekin that I was sure was a girl because she was so loud! I was convinced up until about a month ago.... I changed my mind and decided Squeakers is a MR Squeakers based on 'shenanigans' going on in the pool. Now looking at your pics I think I was right the first time. Squeakers is missing the drake feather. I guess she's just a take charge kinda gal. Maybe she/he will surprise me with an egg some day soon?? Or maybe I'm wrong again lol

John, take a look at this auction on eBay. Not sure where those CCL were located, but looks like they may have stolen the wrong pics off the Internet

Wow, nice catch!!!

It's the same guy.  Russellville, OH.  He said he has both Cream Legbars and Rhodebar.  "Photo may not depict actual........".

Thanks,    John
Ok, so he just put up a pic of Rhodebars for his legbar ad? If that's the case, does he have pics of the legbars? Maybe they are better quality than we were originally thinking.

Dunno. It's too blasted far to drive for unknown quality birds, so I'm giving up on the idea.

I'll just either get them from Indiana folks or order them from Greenfire when I can get the money together and hide it from my wife.

John

OK, you drive out there and get them. I'll kick in $5.00 for your gas.

I plan to send all the roosters to freezer camp this week.

I'll chip in another 5.

Also, I like your rooster idea. It sure is nice and quiet around here now. Sometimes I miss the way they looked and protection they'd give our flock, but the other 95% I don't.

This may be a dumb question but where can you buy DE? I really dont even know what DE stands for but i know quite a few people mix it in with sand for a dustbathing area for their chickens and i am thinking about trying it.

It is diatomaceous earth. You can buy it at pond stores, places that sell swimming pool supplies, and some feed stores. There is no scientific basis in it being effective, but it can't really hurt.
