INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Was that the hatcher in Bluffton? I thought about it was well, but plan to just save up for a sportsman and use my current as a hatcher.
yes. I really wanted to get it. They should of posted in a few months, by then I should have all barn improvemnets down and everything. I did just buy some rose comb brown leghorn eggs though. What can I say, I am weak, but they didnt cost very much, so oh well lol.

So we have a family reunion in Muncie tomorrow, and I decided to make Deviled eggs out of our first dozen. These are our Cochin, and Wyandoote 6 month old girls eggs. They are so small!!!

And a completely off subject pic of our girls today :) ....

She was gone by this morning. Rest in peace, Natalie.

I stopped by the Chicken Garage sale at Little Ameraucana Mom's house today and stayed awhile. It is just Silkie heaven over there. When I got there I sent a quick text to my DH to see if he would mind if I brought one home and it went something like this: Are you kidding...wait...my chest....tight...pain shooting through my arms....face sagging...loosing feeling...walking towards the light... Once I got done laughing at his dramatics I called and he said do what you want

. I brought home a little blue bantam Ameraucana hen/pullet. I need a good name for her now and I still need names for the three cochins I brought home from Old Salt. Its kind of hard to tell them apart because they are so similar but one is much larger than the other two. When we got home I had to move some things around and the outdoor crates are near the wood pile for shade, so ignore the mess, please.

I have named the Wyandotte Winnie because that's just what happened. I think I need to get to know the other girls better.
Lucy came to check out the new girl and to have a word with me.

This is the new girl that all the chickens had to come see.

And the little Appenzellers. They are just the cutest things. I haven't named them because I am not sure what I have here (either two boys and a girl or two girls and a boy) so they remain nameless until I figure it out.

You should stop by Little Ameraucana Mom's if you need some chickens/ducks/geese/turkey/ bunnies/or goats...oh there was a pigeon too!
Isn't it exciting! Loved all your pictures! I would have loved to go, If I went I would just add more babies

Quote: I keep watch too, but DH wants me to go with a new sportsman cabinet. Late winter probably, geese start to lay in late January. Will probably start hatches in march, had too many freeze in February, and was pointless to try hatching. Did get my first Gosling hatch, Paddy, on St Patricks day tho. I think it will help with the muscovy hatches also, the eggs do great and then just quit in the last week or so.
