INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

The Rural King in Logansport had Blue, White and another color Silkies, Araucana, ISA, NHR. I called before I left to see what they had in. They told me They had Blue and White Silkies, Araucanas, ISA and NHR's. To Logansport from my house is about 1hr. I wanted to get a few of everything specially the silkies. Well got up there and all they had left was Araucana's and NHR's. So I got 6 of each. They sold out of the others within that hour of me driving there. LOL Here is a few pics. I still have to put some cardboard up around the side some and put the bedding in.

Awwww!! They are so cute!!!

Quote: Muncie RK hasn't got theirs yet either. I like the store a lot, hope they get in the race pretty soon

OH u betcha! I had to rehome my Alpaca boys already just broke my heart. They have no clue how upset this chickie is! We moved to this area because we assumed they were a farm oriented community.I had plans for milking goats and cows, they better figure out that the people that made this community wants it to remain farm country. I had even moved my parents here to care for them. I will be heartbroken if my dad cant have his geese.

I actually left RK with hog food and no babies. I was so disappointed. I just want a few silkie chicks and they are crazy expensive everywhere. Butters is just adorable, I am getting him a house diaper, he is so feisty i can't let him out with the flock. someone will kill him, but he is so sweet with people makes me crazy. He will eventually have his own coop but i have way too many other birds coming in that need housing first..

Hey guys,

I'm very sorry to have to come on and ask for help without an introduction. We are making a cross-country trip on Feb. 25 or 26th. We are bringing my gelding along with us and are desperately looking for a safe place for him to spend the night and relax before we begin the next leg of our journey. Does anyone know of a stable, vet or a safe fairground that might be able to keep him for the night while we sleep in a hotel nearby? We were thinking the Terre Haute area would be a good place?

Thank you all so much for any help!

Well, as of right now, I have 7 banties, a Rhode Island Red Rooster, a silver laced wyandotte, some sex link hens, and a couple of mixed breed hens. This year, I am getting my first meat hens: black giants and I am getting some black star hens to add to my egg-layin' girls.

Just butchered 15 hens in September so we are kind of slim right now.

I have 101 eggs in incubators!!!!! Is this crazy? I just got back from picking up 57 eggs for free from a guy in fort wayne. They are suppose to be all different breeds and fertile. I had to double stack some in one of my incubators. Has anyone had to do this before? I need another incubator. Guess i will have to try to build another one.
