INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hello everyone,
Newbies here from the Bedford area with 10 hens. Wanted to stop by and say hello. We're having a blast in our new quest for raising some egg layers and glad that we stumbled upon BYC ;-)

our IaB found a new place to sit this morning - she is a sweetheart - even dusted off my windshield before i left for work

Thank you all for your info. I regret to tell you that Amelia passed away the morning after my post. It does seem to be an isolated incident as the rest of the flock is still healthy.
I really do appreciate all of the posts and support.

Hana- so sorry to hear that. We've all lost some, it's hard.

I just went to lock everybody up for the night. They are all fluffed up...3x their normal size and pushing each other off the roosts trying to get closer!! Feel so sorry for them all. But the barn is locked as tight as it can be and I keep telling myself that there wild birds sleeping in open trees!!

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!;)

What a week. My sister in laws brother died in a car accident, and today my moms best friends husband who we have known for 25 years died unexpectedly. It has been a very emotional difficult week. If anyone needs to get in touch with me about chickies, I will still be on here off and on during the next few days. I really hope this is the last of the shocks for awhile. I'm not sure my family can take much more.

So sorry for a hard Thanksgiving time. Prayers for you and all the families involved.
