INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Your welcome! Hope they all hatch for you too!

I took some quick pictures if some chicks. I don't think I have ever posted these girls. They are blue and splash Cochin pullets. I got a lot of splash out of the dozen I ordered. Maybe 2-3 are blue, the rest are splash.

These two are Marans mixes. I'm very confused on their color! They are from Birchen Marans Roos over either buff or columbian type white naked necks or white rocks. However these chicks appear to have a barred type pattern. I'm curious to see how they feather out.

And the most recent hatch with 3 of my modern chicks. These little guys came from kabhyper, except the one little partridge showgirl. I'm so excited about them as they will all be held back as potential breeders. I'll get a better picture tonight when I move them to an actual brooder.

And some of my older chicks.

And the whites from this pen are going to Cindy (minmin)!

I got 6 new babies from Rural King in Bloomington today. 2 New Hampshire Reds, 2 Black Jersey Giants, and 2 Gold Laced Wyandots.

Congrats on the new additions! I havent went to rural king......yet. I don't want to start a brood right now. When my order from Paul and Angela Smith comes in, I might just have to sneak over and get me a few easter eggers

Okay, my turn. :D Pictures of the girls! (And Po, of course!) Firstly, these girls turned 9 months old on Wednesday, but things have been crazy and I forgot. So these pictures are from today, 9 months and 2 days old. :)

I went ahead and divided this into two posts, since I had so many pictures to share. :D So here are the rest of them:

All the while I was taking pictures today, this girl was stalking me. Freema the possessive Barred Rock:

Here's Freema again, trying to get on my lap while I was taking pictures of Margie and Po.

Two Silver Sebright butts. I believe it was Scooter on the right and Vespa on the left.

And Sora, another red sexlink, who says I need to leave her alone until I clean up that snowy mess outside. Because clearly, I was responsible for making it snow so much.

Your flock is so pretty! I can't wait until I can get mine outside for some pictures. We are all going stir crazy and this weather seems like it will never end!

I let the bantam Cochins out of their box for a little while tonight and decided to get some pictures. They have really grown!

These guys are the most docile breed I have besides the moderns. I really need to get more ;)

I have some blue splash cochins and they are my most docile breed also. I can just go scoop them up without a peep. My roo isn't to found of me carrying then around though. He follows behind me the whole way. :)

I like your BC and Black a lot. The only Bantam cochins I have are a pair of mottleds.
Okay, my turn.

Everyone looks great, including the older girls.

I would have to say my most docile breed are my white rocks. They don't have a care in the world, well except that you give them a lot of food. They eat a lot.

We don't really have a docile bird. Our Delaware is a big attention hog and constantly at our feet. Our Barred Rocks is a lurker and photo bomber. She stays close enough to us to take away whatever we give anybody else.
Otherwise , they are all varying mixes of curiosity and "OMG don't grab me..."
