Sounds good! Yum!
Sometimes we use ground turkey in place of beef. One of our plans is to grind up some of those big BBW's and have our own ground turkey.
oh yes, makes great chili! Good idea

Im planning on getting more turkeys in the spring too along with meat chickens.
I was thinking about raising a few turkeys this year as well. I'd love to get some bourbon reds!
Its really good! We do jerky or grind any meats we have that's not a choice cut. I plan to make sausages too, and get our smokehouse built soon.Oh, ground turkey! I hadn't even thought of doing that. We are a family of four, so that would be a great way to save what we couldn't eat.
Oh we have one in Greenfield I think, close to us. I will call them too. It would be nice not to have to worry on shipping dates. I am gone a lot weekends in the summer. You might call TSC (Tractor Supply) if you have one close, I know they sell poults too, but not sure what dates. Not sure yet. Last year a local farm store had them (Orschelns farm and home). If I can't find any breeders local, then ill try them this year. I only want a few, so ordering them just won't work with hatchery/breeder minimums.
