INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Just wanted to post a quick shout out to Thriftymom6. She and her husband are now the owners of Henry, the GLW I wanted to rehome. He will be much happier with his own little flock to watch over and Fred, my Golden Polish cockerel, will be much happier when he doesn't have to worry about getting his crest feathers pecked and pulled. Win, win for everyone!

It is with great regret that because of some unfortunate circumstances we will not be able to attend chickenfest. This unfortunately means that the 2 grills that we were going to bring will not be available, it also means that we will not be able to bring back the hen for BryLT3 that I had agreed to bring back, hopefully there is some else that can do it for her.

Also, with great sadness I am selling all of my chickens/chicks. The breeds that I know I have are Breda, Coronation, Light and Silver Sussex, Swedish Flower Hen, Buff Partridge and Dark Brahma, BLRW, Legbar, Birchan Marans, Russian Orloff, Bielfielder, Black Copper Marans cockerel, Barnevelder cockerel, mutts, and a Silver Gray Dorking. I am also may have Silver Penciled and Partridge Rocks, RC and SC RIR, Isbar, Partridge Wyandotte, BBS Orpington. I lost so many chicks that I honestly do not know if I have any of the last bunch listed left. Am also getting rid of my layer flock which consist of all hatchery stock with the exception of a Rhodebar rooster and a Birchan Marans hen, the rest are production reds, jersey giants or australorps never could figure out which, a silver laced wyandotte, barred plymouth rock bantam silver duckwing oeg, silver sebright and mille fluer duccle rooster, also a wyandotte mutt rooster, and a white mutt rooster. One of the black hens has 3 mutt chicks and there are 2 more that one of the oeg hatched out. Please pm if interested

I hope that everyone has a safe and fun saturday. And that everyone has great hatches, your families, livestock, and chickens stay safe, healthy and happy.

I'm sorry to hear that, Barb!

Is there anybody going to Chickenfest from northern indiana that would be willing to bring a hen back this way with you? I would be forever grateful!

Oh Barb, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you are okay.

Well I still have an unhatched baby under momma. I am leaving it, but I wish it would hatch so the other chick had a buddy it's age. She has her momma for company I suppose. Here are some better pics of the new littles.

Best friends

Little guys. The splash is doing better in her hobbles.

am going to set the in pens beside each other for a few days and see what happens, she is eating better now and DH says to just make her a house chicken....................................................................

I think once she grows a bit more ( if she does they are only 1 week apart in age ???? don't get the sz diff... ) she will be ok with him he dont seem to mind having the pen to himself... lol I think he is beautiful, if it don't work out with her I might get him a different hen and maybe raise Honey a new roo??? well have to wait and see what happens.
