The mystery ones people expect to be light brahma that I got were from TSC in Plainfield! Were yours from there or the Orchard store? @Delawaremommy

Two poor dead little chicks in the bantam bin at Tractor Supply on Brookville road today. My daughter was the first one to the chicks and yelled for me- I knew something was horribly wrong from the tone in her voice. I had to practically tackle the closest employee (someone I'd never seen before) to get her to listen to me and she was completely emotionless, like she was going to remove a cracked water lid. Very disturbing. Almost all those poor babies had pasty but too. Some pretty bad. I was reminded why I will not buy from tractor supply.

Someone please post some happy birdie pictures! We are traumatized!

So sorry for you and your daughter's trauma! I do believe each TSC is different in regards to how they manage their chicks. Some are very diligent.

Here are some chick photos I have handy on my phone.

This one is Walnut. I'm hoping it's a boy, to carry on my blue egg gene project. He/she is a second generation Easter "Legger"

Phone/internet acting up. I'll post more photos if it lets me. :D

Hello, from the Fort Wayne area!

Hey all. New to BYC since yesterday and have spent quite a bit of time on here. Indiana girl all my life. Fairly new to raising chickens just about 7 months now.I have 6 hens laying I was given last fall. The chicken math got me pretty quickly. I'm up to 18 birds now. They are filling my empty nest syndrome quite well.
Hello @redchicken25 and @sdunmoyer ! Glad to see you both! We'd love to see some photos of your birds too!
