Bell with her ducklings:

DSCN4957.JPG

The person we got Big Bun from said he was told a little more than a year old, and thought the kid who had "him" didn't feed him enough, because not large enough for a male bunny. But is clearly a female, so not sure if full grown.

The rescue person is a magician who uses a Flemish Giant in his performances, and also takes in unwanted ones and rehomes them. He had a beautiful light silver one that was in his house hopping around.

Big Bun has her area with her stuff in one of the chicken sheds. After the first day and night the chickens and Big Bun realized they don't have to fear one another.

She is litter box trained. I love the long thick eyelashes on this breed.

Loving the pics! Kate was quite a special lady. very chatty and wary of everything going on. I love the OEG standard breed and the bantam too. Once I have all my coops repaired I may add OEG standard again.

My cornish cross chicks! So after several years of deciding on having an LGD one fell in my lap last weekend. My oldest DD works in healthcare, and is working a ton of double shifts, and 12 hour shifts. She lives over 2 hours from us in Ohio. She has a fella, Remi (Remington) a mixed breed dog she got as a puppy. Remi is 2.5 years old and has been raised with all the animal types I keep aside from cows. We had a long trial period from Friday until last night to see how it goes. Remi is now a part of our family here. He is a Rottie and pit mix from what I can see some lab in there. He actively protects all the birds and goats, little intimidated by the adult cows yet. The most important point is he is incredible with my Dad, so gentle and attentive. He goes to the vet the 19th for all the regular stuff.

Remi and my oldest dd, now 36 geez where does the time go? DD is concerned he is crated so many hours with the shifts she is working. No life for him at all. He did well with the goat pasture but still learning electric fences. He will have his evenings in the house and begin to pasture during the day. We are going to add another buddy soon to help Remi protect the goats and birds. We have found coyote prints and fox after the rain.
