Your cow's face looks like she's wearing a black mask- like a Super hero - and the purple is a great touch. I think it's a very cool look!
Congrats on the calf!
Thank you she is the prettiest I love her color. I adore her! She isn't the best dairy cow. very low milk production. Dixie is my fav and I love her. Pixie is giving easily giving 4 gallon a day. I am really proud of both girls we are finally where we we want to be.

Hi all! I used to be an active member here as ChickCrazed and had Bielefelders. It's been so long since I logged in I can't remember my password (and it is an old work email so I can't reset). So I'm starting over with a new account!

In the two years since I left the thread I moved to a new dilapidated project farm, went back for my MBA (finish in December) and am about to get back into chickens. I just wanted to pop by and say hi! I am starting planning for my coop build at my new place and will be placing a chick order in the next couple of weeks! I hope everyone is doing well and I can't wait to figure out what y'all have been up to!

If you want your old user account, you can pm @Nifty-Chicken and I'll bet he can get you set up with an administrator that can make that happen

We treat account security really seriously, so we need solid proof (like sending an email from your old email address, etc.) that you're you. From there we can work to get members access, merge accounts, etc.

Welcome back! I got some of your wonderful Bieles & as well as some orps from @kittydoc. We're now mostly into orps and a few "useless chickens" (What we lovingly call our pet bantams.) If you're up for the drive to the Chicago area, I'd be happy to share some orps with you. We no longer have Bieles. The kids are still in 4H, youngest is no longer a Cloverbud & oldest is going into 8th grade. Time flies!

Congrats on the new house & future MBA!

:frowGreat to see you!

Note to self, only plant 1 pkg of cucumber next year! :thI cleaned up 16 pounds today, made refrigerator pickles and the other half will can tomorrow. That was after I gave both DDs several pounds, and our friends/neighbors too. Especially my cow neighbor, he is always so helpful. Same with the tomatoes, oh my gosh am loaded. have several watermelon coming on and tons of squash. Chickens are really enjoying it too. They get big bowls of scraps every day! If we get many more cucumbers they might be getting whole cukes cut up, I need to leave room for other things.

That is such a nice offer! I'll probably take you up on that at some point! Bieles will definitely be part of the order. I'm planning a small coop this time around to keep my chicken math under control, 4-7 hens and no roosters. I am planning a super secure and totally contained fort knox type coop/run. I live a couple miles from Eagle Creek park and the hawks and eagles are out of control in my new hood. There won't be much free ranging happening unless there is supervision :( I'm excited to be done with school in a few months. Working and going to school full time has been seriously grueling.
