Ok, so this is my last post for the morning... I am good at spamming in the a.m before heading out for work. If I logged on more often there would not be 50 'Vicki' threads to get through.

I let my chicks into the little run yesterday. Finally discovered grass was edible. Great watching that.

Well sitting on my deck reading, something catches my eye... Low and behold we have an escapee. So I scoop him up and pop him back in a little puzzled about how he got out. I walk to the back side and see 7 more chicks outside the pen. An hour it took me to coral everyone back.

The really little ones were small enough to get under the deck which turned into a waiting game.
The coop is off the ground less than a foot so I could not quite get underneath to get them. The new storage unit was places on the backside of the coop so had no reach from that side.

Myself covered in mud and hmmm shall we say dog doo on my knees (did not notice that at the time)

. I happen to have been wearing shorts yesterday, right after I got out of the shower less than an hour before.

All chicks accounted for I took a deserved shower.

Now to go fix that fencing.

OH my this gave me a chuckle, been there a few times!

Cluck - how are the new additions all doing?

Doing great. Baby and all. I have some more eggs in incubator then my uncle gave me a dozen banty eggs today. Not sure what kind of banties they are tho. They are little cream colored chickens tho that lay little white eggs. lol I hope I get a good hatch out of those. Oh and Im testing out my homemade cabinet incubator right now with just eggs from my flock. I have some polish, silkies, EE's and misc. Im going to buy a replacement egg turner motor tho for my cabinet. Im just not liking how much room the one i have in there now takes up. But i have it made to where i can take out the egg turner and put in another tray for hatching. The eggs have been in there for 3 days now so im going to candle some tonight just to see whats going on in there now. Also my temp are staying right around 100 so im pretty please about that.

Aw thats great, I still have all my roos too. Red was my favorite chick, he only just recently stopped perching on my knee.

Gosh darn it... Diggin through my camera after reading this to delet some old stuff... I found this, taken on 5/6/12 the 'super moon' with my field scope attachment.



No I am not paid by Canon.. I just love me camera.

That's a great picture of the moon. I've tried, but can't get that kind of quality. My pictures always have a red/blue color shift.

We got our garden started today! I had the prettiest little gardeners helping, too!

Lots of hard work later, here's what we've got:

Tomatoes along the right side, cucumbers at the back left, and bell peppers in the center. Gonna get some seeds planted along the other edge tomorrow.
