adorable little ones.
My chickens won't come out in the snow. Last time I understood since there was so much of it, but today it is just a dusting and still no one is outside.

I don't know how mine don't freeze, but they have been out in the yard and snow for half a day. not me! ;-)My girls will only walk in the areas that have no snow. Their run is sand so it melts very fast. I even put some treats in the snow to get them to walk on it. No luck there.
I can't imagine going through that; my thoughts and prayers go with you. As others have posted, anything we can do to help....well sadly our chickens are being fostered by a friend for the time being. monday our house went up in flames. we are holding together but it has been rough. hopefully this wont keep us down for long.
hmmm..off hand, I am not sure--but I know I would have grabbed them, too!So I stopped by the dump,(ours has a re-use pile).and grabbed 8 black plastic trays. The ones they stack bread on. I will have to measure them and send a pic. I need to build 2 nest boxes, but wondering what else I can do with them. Suggestions?
