I've been watching the posts everyone else leaves.... I may be the only one that does during the day. Its ok, I usually stay up til atleast 11. Now if it was when I worked 3rd shift... that would be a different story. I stay at home and watch kids now.... I get a lot more sleep this way, and I get to check in the coop pretty often. I will have to come up with a good treat to give them today b/c of the rain. How did everyones coops fair with that wind? We had sirens and took the kids to the basement at about 3 am.
Oh thats good to know, i try to check in during the day, the next month will be busier for me. I do tax prep for a few clients I had left when I retired. Not taking on anyone new and this will probably be the last year I do it. They have passed new laws requiring an additional 40 hours of training annually to keep doing tax returns. Ugh, think I will just stick with chickens going forward

We had a lot of odd stuff blown into the yard from the winds. Went around and picked up everything i saw, like the big foam drink cups. No idea where they came from, but there is a grade school near us. I noticed the main coop roof is looking bad...its a big old shed, probably 30 years old or more. Going to take a hard look at it this spring.
