INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I've been watching the posts everyone else leaves.... I may be the only one that does during the day. Its ok, I usually stay up til atleast 11. Now if it was when I worked 3rd shift... that would be a different story. I stay at home and watch kids now.... I get a lot more sleep this way, and I get to check in the coop pretty often. I will have to come up with a good treat to give them today b/c of the rain. How did everyones coops fair with that wind? We had sirens and took the kids to the basement at about 3 am.

Oh thats good to know, i try to check in during the day, the next month will be busier for me. I do tax prep for a few clients I had left when I retired. Not taking on anyone new and this will probably be the last year I do it. They have passed new laws requiring an additional 40 hours of training annually to keep doing tax returns. Ugh, think I will just stick with chickens going forward

We had a lot of odd stuff blown into the yard from the winds. Went around and picked up everything i saw, like the big foam drink cups. No idea where they came from, but there is a grade school near us. I noticed the main coop roof is looking bad...its a big old shed, probably 30 years old or more. Going to take a hard look at it this spring.

Jchny~ yeah, I just spent 2 hours going through receipts since my husband gets housing allowance. Ohhh my back.
I usually wait til the wind dies down here. I am between open fields and it's useless to pick up everything that flies by. There are some strange things in the field to the east... might belong to us... don't know til I make that hike.
Did I tell you guys I have a squatter? She has been doing it the last couple days. So happy eggs will be soon in my future.
Tomorrow night the arctic returns. Poor birds, they thought it was spring :(

Thanks pbirdhaven, any idea about times? 9-12? Or? And that was the 9th, right? Also I did order some new babies, from Ideal. For the end of Feb. I'll let everyone know how it works out. 5 Millie's and 3 bantam buff brahmas .
It's in the morning--not sure of the exact times. Yes, the 9th.
