INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

John, your Millie looks like the dog that likes to visit my chickens every 2-36 weeks. Their owners are good about picking her up right away, but I still get nervous about her showing up on days I'm out for the most part.

One trick is rather gross but works it to paint their vent with different coloured food colouring. Other than that, it will be the good old chicken T.V

I would have never thought of that! I may try it, unfourtinatly with two small children I've not gotten as much chicken tv as I would like. :)
one hen per cage. though not very practical. :)
;) nope not very practical at all considering I don't have any cages!

My grandson helped me and we got the permanent fence up.

New fence - 64' x 64'

Dog about to become hen-pecked.

Many fluffy butts.

Chickens stealing potato skin snacks from Millie.

Millie said "Watch me do the Moses number and part the sea of chickens". Silver laced Wyandottes
not very impressive in their markings. Wyandottes and Jerseys are all pullets. Cochin are straight run.
Buff Orpingtons are straight run: turned out 7 roos and 5 pullets.

The cochins and the red laced wyandottes appear to be quality stock from efowl.com.

Blue cochin rooster.

Same rooster with hen looking on (2 months old). Jersey Black Giant hen getting a drink.

Here is a picture of the poor little critter in the dog cage which is his rehab center for the time being. His name is Jimmy Hop-Along. Or possibly Weed-Wacker Jimmy.

John
You were not kidding. That poor little bird! I actually just wanted to say what a nice yard you have. Your birds and dog are lovely.
The babies at 9 weeks old!

Whiri the Light Brown Leghorn:

And the little boys, Hika Ma the Easter-egger bantam...

Hika Ma was my favorite to look at when they were little, but now that they are getting older, that Whiri is a looker!!
