You've been at the Chickenstocks and sharing with us on BYC, so you should be considered an honorary Hoosier, at least in my opinion.

Went to an auction once and saw an ox up for sale, yes an Ox in Indiana!Yes keeping predators out would be great as well. Thankfully I don't have too many issues thus far. Hawks have been the only issue. The last one tried to attack them while I was out there with them! I was able to run in and get the gun and fired warning shots (I'm it willing to pay the fines and jail time for killing a bird protected under the migratory act lol) and it hasn't been back since. Cars have been my only other "predator". The chickens learned to cross the road from the guineas when I had them. Now I can't break them of it. And have observed that they have learned to run pretty fast across the road to avoid cars, but I still don't like it. I was hoping a fence would deter this behavior.
I'm still not sure exactly what other animals I'd like to keep. I've always had an interest in a couple of wallabies but would like to use a privacy fence so people don't sop and mess with them. An emo or two has also sparked my interest. Of course id want to double check the type of fence I would use for anything I'm even considering prior to purchase.
I've figured that I'd need around 1300 ft, so using the field fence wouldn't be too bad in price. Just wasn't sure if the 6x6 holes would do much protecting against smaller predators like opossums, raccoons, or skunks.
