Anyone near Crown Point (NWI) Crown feed and supply is having a "poultry day" March 12th @ 6:30 pm. A nutrition specialist from purina brand will be there talking bout stuff, there's door prizes, games etc.

I've never actually been there, but it was on my list of to-stop-by's for a while now, just waitin on the girls to polish off their current bag of pellets.

I was wondering if anyone around Palmyra or Corydon In had any ameracauna chicks for sale. I have been looking for awhile and watching posts and even craigslist to try to find a few. I have 1 hen that lays every day and would love to add 3 or 4 more to my small flock. If anyone has any or knows someone, can you point me in their direction. My girl is sweet and runs around with my silkies and I love the blue green eggs I get from her.

There is a guy who posts on eBay from Coryon but not sure if he has ameraucanas though. His username is Trey22250. I purchased some birchen Marans eggs and they all look to be developing. I will be buying more from him in the future. SebrightMom raises beautiful ameraucanas though. She is in Greencastle.

Jchny- why is Rebel quarantined? Is he new or???

Update on new chicks. The ones I got at RK are doing good. The wyandottes are growing so much faster than the Bantys. I'm going to have to separate them in a few days. They run over the smaller ones. I am having a bit of diarea from them. They are eating and drinking good. And the mailed chicks are all doing great. Even the ones I revived. Thought once I took the wyandottes out that I'd put the 2 Bantys from the mailed batch with them. Will this be ok? They are about the same size. And suggestions on diarea aid?

Does anyone else have their incubators right next to your bed? This guy does!! LOL I keep an eye on them all night. You know whats bad is one of my incubators has a probe therm. and i have the digital reader right on my night stand so i can keep an eye on it while in bed.

Im sure I wont get any sleep once the eggs start hatching but who can sleep when you have babies hatching!!!

haha my husband would kill me haha. I just get up all night long to kiss and snuggle on the fur balls and my husband rolls his eyes and tells me I have a problem (everytime a new baby hatched he kept bringing up chicken math). Now I want some BCM and olive eggers! Is there a way to hide the incubator hmmmmm

I think you dont have to worry about watery poo? because it's just more urine than poo?! I'm new at this so don't quote me on that but here was a good link I found on when to worry...or not.http://chat.allotment.org.uk/index.php?topic=17568.0
