The thing is we have lost so many chickens over the fall and late winter with no traces at all around the property. They all go in the coop everynight and get locked up. Seems like if it was some other animal we would have seen some traces of tracks or feathers around.CluckAcres~ I am sorry to hear about your losses. I remember a recent member post saying that hawks typically don't fly away with a chicken (or duck); they just eat part, and may come back later. I apologize for being graphic, but it seems like you would have found traces of your birds.
