mcurry - glad you found the thread!

Here is some pics I took today for you all!!

Silkie Roo and Amerucanas around him. I just let them out for the first time today. They was all suppose to be hens but I think I got a roo in the mix. It has more red and it feathers are drooping more. He is 2nd in from the right. You can only see its tail end but you can tell it has more red.

Silkie Hen oh and you can see one of my kittens in the back ground. LOL

This is my 2 new Pekin Ducks. 1 is bigger than the other but they are the same age. Hopefully 1 is a hen and the other a drake.
Love the pics!!! Awesome, I like the logs too. My 2nd gosling is hatching as I type

We are a talkative bunch!

Haha! My little OEGB went missing every night but came back in the afternoon before missing again. I sent out on a search and found her under the shed with a nest of 18 eggs lol.
Too funny! I caught my SB OEGB hunkered down in a nest box tonight on 5 LF eggs. They were big ones too from my Dark Brahma and LF Cochins. I don't know how she managed to do that. It was a really funny sight. My DH was laughing because I just kept pulling them out. The eggs together were as big as my girl! This was her first attempt at broodiness and I moved her to the roost with the others. I'm curious if she will try again tomorrow.

Well i really cant take credit for the logs to be hollow. We had a tree that fell last year during a bad storm and well thats why it fell. The tree was hollow. Had several hollow logs. We use some as planters as well. The chickens love the logs!! They jump on them and fun through them all the time.

I too love these logs! I've been thinking about randomly placing "A" frame hides around the yard for predator protection. Obviously it will be protection from hawks and not so much dogs.
