Even when they moved away, she just laid there. I picked her up and she wouldn't stand up in my hand or anything. I put her back down in front of the food, she just stood there doing the splits.

I don't want to kill her. she will starve to death and/or dehydrate (ie suffer).

Thought I'd ask all the wise people here before I go look elsewhere.

Bandaid the legs together for the sprayed leg issue. Keep the pad part between the legs as a spacer, it might take two bandaids.
if she was under the others she may have internal injuries. But for the not drinking eating thing, try force feeding water with that chick saver package from TSC that looks like a yeast package. Or use sugar water.

Also separate her and one other bird to keep her company.
Sorry to hear that, Country Hen . . . This is a page about it from my "Chicken Health for Dummies book," which basically says what Sally told you.

Those weren't my chickens and roosters-- I ran across the video on youtube a few months ago, so when the "bedtime" topic came up, I remembered seeing that crazy video.

Haha-- that's funny! My Jersey Giant has always chosen the end of the first perch, by the outer wall. Most of this time, she goes in first to make sure she claims her spot. If someone else gets there first, she sounds off her foghorn warning -- I can just picture steam coming out of the top of her head like a cartoon and her blood pressure going through the roof. ha She gets so annoyed, and typically gets her spot back. Since giving them "assigned seats" didn't work, I've dreamed about putting panels up so they can each have her own office cubicle and not be able to peck each other. My husband said that when he and his brother were little and they went on a family trip, his parents would put a suitcase between them in the back seat. HaHa Similar concept!

Pipd-- Hika Ma is too funny. It almost sounds like a utterance like "Hi there" than a crow to me but since he's so young, that's all he can do.

Morning Update: Well my husband decided to call her Rocky (it didn't help he was watching Tango & Cash, which has Stallone in a lead role) if she pulls through. Smh...The sick chick survived the night and is trying to walk on her splints but at least she is trying to-- more than she was yesterday.

I was moving the new lamp and the bulb went out! Its too hot to mess with the bulb but I hope it didn't go out after 12 hours. The room is pretty warm (I don't have a furnace/central air) so i doubt they will be cold but they will have to wait until my DH gets off of work.

The buddy chick is bored I can tell. She knocked over both the food cup and the water cup. She was sitting inside the food cup last night. But since she is healthy, she doesn't know what she's doing practically alone in a strange place without the others to mess around with.

I suspect the bulb may have cooled down by now. Replace it with any available bulb you have before your chicks get cold and die. Take one out of a lamp, if necessary.
