INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Quote: Mine are the 9200, its the manual setting. They are stable if there is no draft. but I agree, am really liking the digital controls on this cabinet!
I will keep the roo in mind. I plan to be at racins sunday, if you were sure on him being a "him"

that would solve the transport problem!

Hey guys! I've been lurking and reading. :) I'm glad the puppy is going to be okay and the baby goats are adorable. M2H, your chicks are really cute!. I cleaned out the silkie box today, and since they can't get outside I let them run around my kitchen. I had a rather large mopping job after. It was really cute though seeing Snow and her babies interact with the silkie family. They were all very good with the babies. I don't feel confident putting them in the box with the big silkies yet though. Hopefully we can get the back out in the coop in a couple of weeks.
They are all just adorable

I just love the lil black chick, starting to think it may be a hen. Will try for some pics soon!

Well chick days lesson 1: call store ahead of time to verify they have chicks. Just drove 45mins one way to the Decatur RK and they dont have their chicks yet :(

I just shoveled a path out into the middle of my goats pasture and had to entice them with a few flakes of alfalfa to even get them out of the barn. Then the kids and I had to literary push them all out of the barn and into the shoveled snow path. But as soon as they seen the green stuff they acted like the snow wasn't even there lol 7 expecting mothers and 1 buck have been rather lazy the last couple months in the barn. the chickens appreciate the path also!
My 3 goats are scratching for the grass, The cow seems to not care one bit about the snow.
I put the hay outside so they come out of the shelter.
We are hoping the ground thaws enough to put the posts in and increase the pasture area.

I think I'm able to do it from Dropbox. I do have iCloud, but from what I saw I can only share the pics and once I pull them up on my computer, I have no way to save them. Stupid apple lol.

My brother is a computer geek lol. I'll have him fix it.
UGH I have no clue with Ipad or any apple stuff. Now a PC, no problem. Good luck!

My chickens have been enjoying this heat wave today. 54 degrees today

Ya I am waiting till it thaws a little. we have about 6 more acres to fence in this spring, maybe more later in the summer/fall but at least 6 for now. they are very Barn spoiled and did not want to come out. The drifts for the last couple weeks have been about 3' up the door. so they didnt want anything to do with the outside. But once they got out there with some hay they started to act like crazy goats again. I even think I seen one do a back flip lol they are so funny to look at!

Ok. Im willing to nake a spreadsheet on the indiana chick days 2014 if you guys think it would be helpful. Something with store, location, phone number, and if or when they have chicks. If this seems like something useful let me know

Quote: I just love goats, they are really special to us. My doe Sugar is a total sweetheart. Never a hint of aggression and just a calm sweet soul.
Her doeling Sophie is a bit of a stinker, but she is 7 months now. She is so much fun to watch!
Bocephus, my buck is all BUCK. He is difficult, and onery as they come. He will be pasturing with the cow(s) when not doing his main "job".

I'm looking for a new mille fleur Belgian Bearded D'uccle rooster. If anyone has a show/breeding quality one available in northern Indiana, please let me know!
