INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I think it's carrot but not sure. The photo was something she saw somewhere that didn't clarify.

I was wondering if I could figure out how to do the insides like deviled eggs without too much damage to the outside. They'd sure be cute on the table but not sure if anyone would eat them just plain or not. (I would :D )

Okay...couldn't resist posting a silly one. (I must be in a silly mood tonight.)

Woo hoo!  My birchen marans should be within a couple months of laying and I can't wait! My welsummer's egg color fluctuates hugely, so maybe yours will get darker....you can hope!  My welsummer seems to lay a couple super dark, then a slightly dark, then a normal brown with spots, then it repeats after a couple of days off.  Not sure if that is normal or not, but it is her!

Oh thank you for giving me a little hope!
I had honestly wondered if maaaaaybe since it was her first, that she might have a darker one in there somewhere. I picked it up and totally thought, to myself, that it looked like a welsummer! It has some great speckling!
Ok, Dita! I need a chocolate egg!

That Spotted white hen is the twin to one of mine (the one in my avatar) she is a California White. Lays bluefish White eggs (more on White side though). The roosters of that breed are almost all quite aggressive. Someone on CA thread said they are raised for fighting because of their attitude.

Do you have any California White Chicks? I may be interested although I could only take 1 or 2 as my space is limited right now....I love them spots!!!!!

My girl is a rescue, sort of, she just wondered in one day and joined th girls when I was handing out their morning grain. She had laid several fertile eggs but is being "covered" by a Heritage RIR roo. I've not hatched any of her eggs. Sorry.
