ellymayRans ~ So sorry to hear!
That's terrible to not know what happened!
Btw, I am still wanting a frizzle or a sizzle or any kind of izzle (I'm sounding like Snoop Dog
), so if you have one available sometime, please let me know.
Btw, I like your plate with marching ants that you used for your egg display.
I bet Play Sand could be a problem for some, but I bet construction sand isn't sterilized. However, since kids play in the dirt, they don't necessarily need sterile sand-- unless they plan on inhaling it! If it's not one thing, it's another! haha

Since I just went down a henand Chewie was already over breeding (down to 4 hens with 2 pullets about 2 months away from laying) them I am considering placing a small order for chicks. I am thinking about ordering from Meyer if anyone wants to go in on an order. I'm open to another hatchery also but everyone else seems to be sold out. I want another rock and a couple more blue egg layers and will probably order a couple cochins as well. I was REALLY looking forward to getting the chicks out of my house but I'm hoping in another week I might be able to brood them in the garage.![]()
ChickCrazed ~ Do they have bantam frizzles or sizzles?

Btw, some chicken people think that Play Sand is too fine and can cause respiratory problems. Like everything related to chickens, there are many views, but I just wanted to mention it. Here's one explanation if you're interested:
Don't worry! The sand was for my human girls! Lol! I do appreciate the link to info though, I'm always eager to read up about chickens, never hurts to learn something new!![]()

toodlesmom ~ Hey, nice to hear from you again!Actually, that fine sand isn't too safe for human chickies either. They can inhale it and have respiratory issues just like chickens can. We were told, back when my now 33-year-old was in preschool, to stick with the heavier builder's sand for children's sandboxes.
