I'm glad I found out before spending all the time planting them. I only spent $13 on all 10, so even if they won't cancel at this point I guess I'm not out much. What is a pretty alternative that is safe for dogs? I want something colorful and am open to suggestions!

I was pretty sure ivermectin took care of mitesand lice . I thought mites were black and lice were white but could be wrong. I just picked up eperinex to treat all mine.

Did topical liquid application for lice work for you?

kabhyper, I might be old, but my eyesight isn't that bad!! lol

How can you tell the difference other than crowing? Or is that how? Just curious!! They all look the same to me but pullet #2 is ADORBS!!!! She can come live with me!

Thank you!. The boys have long streamer feathers coming off of their crests. The girls don't. Pullet 2 is very tiny also. She hatched 3 days after her siblings and was in a tiny egg. If you loo closely at the picture, there are some sporadic shoots of feathers coming off of his crest. It's really hard to tell in the pics sorry.

I just candled my shipped eggs from mypetchicken. There was one that had a terrible smell!!! Opened the bator and could smell something. Had to do a sniff test up close with each egg. Yup found it!!! Gross. I had my daughter smell lol just to make for sure it was the rotten egg! Hahaha then we candled them. Out of 14 we are down to 7 moving eggs filling up the shell. 6 glow in the dark duds and the one smelly egg. 50/50 so far. The funny thing is the cracked/fixed eggs are still growing! Hope we get some cuties out of this mess of eggs!

If that is a legbar, it is most definitely a girl - big identifiers are no white head spot, and well defined eye and back stripes.

That's the only one I've had hatch with a pattern and I know it's not from my flock. The others are all solid colors none of the Bresse have hatched yet
