when they first pip they rest after that for quite some time...some rest longer then others ....if your unsure just pick up the egg and with your finger just give it a small couple of taps....if it moves or chirps your good to go....if it doesnt do either it prolly shrink wrapped because of opening and closing of the incubator....wow....we just moved four more so that is a total of 15 and 7 more are pipped....right now 54 percent hatch rate....and climbing...hoping for 75....but right now we did better then the first hatch so that mean i guess we are learning...or the step up with the expensive unit made that much of a differenceYes, the eggs were rolling around on their own, however the chicks in the incubator that have hatched are knocking into the eggs that are not yet hatched. I think one is dead, that was pipped. I see no movement at all, and I see its beak, but nothing at all.
