PLEASE post how well they work out for you. I'm always on the lookout for a better waterer.I picked up two new waterers at TSC tonight. I liked the design the price is crazy high for a waterer but I thought I would try it.
I really like them so far and if you have seen them but didn't want pay the price imo they are pretty good.

RIP Cubby.I know a few of you were rooting for her, so I thought I'd let y'all know, Cubby didn't make it to her 10th birthday.
She had been wasting away for a couple weeks now, even though she was eating. I think the only reason she had been eating was because she considered what I was giving her (wetted crumbles) a treat. She stopped eating a couple days ago, which I think was the beginning of the end for her. I was able to bribe her into eating with one of her favorite foods, scrambled eggs, but I don't think there was anything to be done by that point. She was in the process of dying when I woke up this morning, very tired and disconnected. She passed away quietly an hour or two later. She was about 2 weeks away from her birthday, so close. I was looking forward to putting together her birthday 'cake'...

I wish I was going to Indy as I had a Naked Neck seller resend eggs from a poor hatch and non NNs..I have 2 broody silkies but one is on eggs and the other can only fit 4 of the 8 LF eggs under her! Lol! So I snatched another silkie put her near the broody and made a nest with the eggs. Fingers crossed! I have the Emu eggs in my coolerbater I have 31 eggs stacked in an Brinsea Eco 20 and my FI styrofoam junk is empty because I refuse to use it for incubating! I had planned to build another coolerbator. I built one for my aunt so she could participate in the Easter HAL with me but I didn't get around to building myself another! Of course kicking myself now and I went ahead and candled my eggs in the brinsea figuring I would have at least 4 clear or blood ring but OF Course NOT!! Wouldn't you know! I will figure something out by tomorrow if my silkie chooses not to brood!????When we first got our chickens via USPS, the shipment included several 'packing peanuts'. One survived, and her name is Peanut. She's a bantam black orpington. Beautiful girl. Her feathers are so black they have a green/blue sheen in the light, and her eggs are my favorite. They are a shiny cream color and the perfect size for an egg sandwich.She's the only bantam in a flock of 8 LF, and she was the bossiest when all the chickens were pullets. She went broody 2 winters ago and we did didn't force her out of it. We waited and let nature take it's course. That year, she only laid about 10 eggs all year. She went broody again last February, and we gave her eggs to hatch. Since that hatch, she's been as sweet as pie, and a laying machine. She's much nicer and pleasant to be around in general. ANYWAY--that was a long background to get to this point... She's broody AGAIN and I'd like her to get back to laying ASAP. If anybody has eggs they need to hatch, I'm offering her warm backside and mothering nature. We don't want to keep any of the chicks (or ducks or peafowl or whatever) she hatches. We just want her to get back to the business of laying eggs. If you have any eggs that you'd like to make into chicks, please PM me as quick as you can. We'll get some eggs 'cooking' under her.
