The holiday weekend might have sidetracked her plans. Hope everything works out. When are you moving to Florida? If you do end up adopting the chickens, which is very thoughtful of you, keep in mind that you'll know nothing about their past, their ages, and most importantly, their health. IMO, it's extremely important that you quarantine them first. You would be very upset if you ended up with a combined flock of very ill chickens! Here is a link to quarantine info explained by one of our members, @pipdzipdnreadytogo (the one with the adorable baby duck pictured below): Quarantining ChickensSo after delawarmomma posted that someone abandoned four chickens across from her business being the chicken lover I am agreed to take them in she said last night she was going to capture them and post picture but I have yet to hear from her or see the pics I fear the worst I hope she is ok... But just a curiose question she said she thinks they are bantams and would be my first bantams anyone know if they do better with chicks who are 2-3 months old or full grown full size chickens
It's difficult to say which group the adopted bantams would mix better with because their ages and breeds might make a difference. From my experience with bantams and LF, grown bantams can hold their own with LF chickens. Their assertiveness often compensates for their smaller size! When your new ones are quarantined, that will give you time to get to know their personalities.

I'm not sure if her set-up was intended for feeding or escaping---she used a gate (I think) that had openings large enough for her chicks/pullets to enter an area, but the openings were too small for the other chickens to enter. My description is probably as clear as mud!

@jchny2000 I loved hearing about your muscovy ducks! I didn't know they had color/pattern variety. Your chocolate pied is especially pretty!
I've also enjoyed reading everyone's "testimonials" haha about their favorite breeds. Very informative and interesting. Thanks for sharing everyone!
@flyladyrocks I admire your involvement in Indy Rezone! Since it sounds like there are unethical hidden practices that need to be uncovered, would one of Indy's local TV news teams be willing to do an investigation? On an earlier post, I think you were looking for website info. I ran across this site that you may or may not know about. It might be helpful to connect with people: Urban Indy
