WOOT ! kk i am going to sit down in my house for a bit and um . . . . well, not cool off since i still have no ac . . . . . man I miss air conditioning lol !

We are getting closer and closer to time to party !!!!!!!!!

I may be able to bring a TON of tomatoes if anyone is interested . . . . . looks like my plants may be loaded down . . .

Just thought I'd get in on the conversation a bit since I will be at the party. I've read most of the posts in the thread and I can't wait to meet all of you!

I don't actually have chickens yet, but I'm hoping to soon. I can't wait to learn from all of you--and check out your chickens.

In the meantime, since there is all sorts of off-topic conversation going on I thought you wouldn't mind if I asked a non-chicken-related question. For anyone who has a veggie garden are you planting anything right now? I have a bunch of beds that I've harvested recently and I wanted some ideas of what might be good or even okay to plant right now. I'd love to hear about your veggie gardens and what you have going on!

asylum....I will bring PLENTY! Looke for the dark red S10 pickup...with lots of egg cartons, and remind me! I have them bagged in bags of 50. So, I will PROBABLY bring MOST of them.
Lunawrite...your garden planting really depends on where you are. I will be harvesting beets soon, and getting ready for a late summer planting of Peas. I missed the pea planting this spring, because of the rain. I cant waite to meet everyone at the party...Ohhhh, this will give her neighbors something to talk about for years to come!

Lunawriter, again depending on where you live, you could plant some corn, fall peas, beans, maybe some of the herbs. It's a bit early yet to plant fall lettuce. Maybe some carrots, beets, turnips, parsnips. You might have to step up your watering during August because of the heat. Or you could plant some flowers that are annuals just to be different.
