I'm coming! I am brand spankin' new to keeping chickens and have much to learn. Also, I will be bringing my White Crested Black Polish Cockerel. Hopefully, I can find him a good home. He was given to me by the guy who brooded my standard breed hens and they keep pecking his little crest bloody! Poor guy has to be kept all by himself. We may be also looking for a Brahma or Orpington roo and hens to raise some meat birds. Look forward to seeing everyone there!

That is a beautiful plate!!!

Another note I won't be on much this Thursday- Monday. I'll be at the poultry barn at the Marion County Fair! Hopefully ALL of my cockrels will sell!.

Hey all, I added LF black cochins to my 'haves' list, I've decided not to keep them, I have too many different breeds as it is.

ETA: Nevermind, it seems I might have them sold already! I didn't realize LF cochins were so popular!

Does anyone going to this here shindig HAVE golden lakenvelders?? I think I lost one of my 2 pullets. One of my dad's dogs killed and ate most of one of my chickens. I can't tell right now if it was one of the lakenvelders for sure, but I think it is. I'm hoping I'm wrong, cause a little sebright mixed roo is missing as well. The only thing left of the bird was a leg and a wing, and the color pattern on the wing doesn't really look like the sebright roo. Kind of, but not really. I have some game mixed youngsters that are colored very similar to the lakenvelders, so that's why I can't tell for sure if this one (in the rafters) is my other pullet or not. My luck, it's not.

So anyone else even have these beautiful birds??
