Pepper cookers DH and I were at Meijer today and they had some pepper cookers in their grill section for only 4.99. They are pretty cute becaue they are actually shaped like a pepper, but they are a lot lighter in weight. We paid 20 dollars for ours a couple of years ago at GM and have gotten many, many uses from it and it is still going strong. We went ahead and bought one of the lighter weight ones today to see how it works... plus it's just cute, shaped like a pepper and all...

And besides, we needed another one. We never make enough.

I forget what her handle is on here, I wanted to email her something......................

Ok I want to use my DE that I got at CS, so how do I use it? In feed, dirt, on ground, roost, in nest boxes, any certain amount? Do I need to use a dust mask when using it?

Wasn't it justasnak that brought the DE?
You can mix it in their feed, put it in their dust bathing areas, in the nest boxes, pretty much anywhere. You shouldn't need a mask, unless you have trouble with allergies. The DE is very fine powder, at least mine is.

DE is a fossil that very sharp and can cut up your eyes, lungs, nostrils, throat etc. if you use it a lot, wear a mask. not doggin' your advice, Shelley, just adding to it.

it is a very fine powder, but it's sharp inside of it!
