Golden Comets
I was just in my local Rural King (Kokomo). They have Golden Comet baby chicks, straight run, 50 cents each, no minimum amount. I did not get any, a mixture of relief and sorrow! They still had lots when I left.

Just wanted to share a couple of pictures with you. First my friends in the backyard do like chicken food. The other is a few babies that have been born in the last couple weeks;;

I have 2, maybe 3 barred cochin cockerels (bantams) that I am willing to sell or trade. My girls want frizzles or silkies other than white since we already have that, or sebrights. I'm also open to whatever someone might have available. I primarily want bantams though as I am newer to owning chickens and the smaller they are, the less they scare my kids when they flutter around. Though I would consider some orpingtons too. I ordered all my chicks straight run except for my wyandotte girls, and even there they sent a 6th that turned out to be a roo! But he's my baby boy and he knows it. I have too many roosters (doing a head count and so far I have at least 4, maybe 5) and I really don't need my neighbors hating me THAT much! I am in West Central Indiana, near the Illinois border and I live about an hour from Lafayette and an hour and a half from Terre Haute. Let me know if anyone is interested.
