Infected sinus

You can only do so much, but trying again later might help. Tapping the bowl or dropping a few pieces of crumble on top may get her intersted. How does her crop feel? She may not have an appetite. Sometimes giving a couple of drops of chick vitamins orally might help appetite.
Ok I will try all of that. I’m sorry, I am not the most experienced chicken owner, what is a crop?

It is the pouch in the upper right chest where the food that has been eaten, is stored while on it’s way to the gizzard.

Thank you! We happened to have a syringe laying around so I filled it up with a combination of food and water and I got one tiny squirt in her big, because she kept wiggling. I felt her crop and it defintely feels empty, sort of like a divot. I will try the syringe again tomorrow. Do you have any strategies so that she doesn’t wiggle as much so I can get more food in her? Thank you so so much for all of your help!

Some have luck putting a small amount of food or liquid on the side of the beak. Crop or tube feeding is always a possibility if you want to learn how.

What does crop or tube feeding require? I think I will stick with the syringe if that is sort of like a procedure, just to minimize any risk of fatal errors, but if it’s easy I would definitely be open to it. She has recently started sleeping and standing with her her curled to the tight (picture included below) do you have any idea why that might be? I have felt around and it sort of feels tight or like a kink, but that could just be because it was in that position. Should I try to move her or just let her be?

Does she move her head normally when she is awake? It could be a sign of wry neck, but if she doesn’t do that when awake, it may be nothing. Here is some info about tube feeding:

Thank you! No, she always holds her head like that even when she is awake. Is there anything I can do to help her neck? And thank you for the video about tube feeding!
