Infection or tumor??

I hope it helps. Many links recommend the lower dosage of amoxicillin, 250 mg daily divided in 2 doses. Casportpony has posted that dosage in the past on threads, but now recommends 25 mg per pound (50 mg per Kg.)

I realize that hydrogen peroxide is not good to use on wounds due to damage of the tissue to prevent healing. But it can help to soften scabs. I also have used it to irrigate a puncture wound or abscess that has popped open on some of my cats or dogs in the past. It is just not good to repeatedly use it when trying to get a wound to heal. It is amazing that many of us used peroxide for decades in hospitals for wound care, before more recent information has come about.

Enjoying her bath

Here she is soaking again. I soaked her and used hydrogen peroxide per recommendation from @Eggcessive to soften the stuff covering the infection. Used tweezers to pull off as much dead skin and crust as possible. I'm surprised I kept my dinner down. This girl is a trooper and gets extra grubblies tonight! She's back in the bath to clean out the wounds again after I messed with them. It looks like she has multiple puncture wounds in her wing. I'm staying home tomorrow to work on this process again. Hopefully the amoxicillin will kick in soon, wish I started with that over the tylan. At least others should be able to learn from my experience.

Here it is this morning after soaking. I did some more debridement after this but not much came off. Unfortunately it's still looking pretty bad. Wing then leg

Unfortunately she passed away earlier this week. She was eating, drinking, and active until the end. I used tylan, then amoxicillin, antibiotic cream, fungal cream, but nothing really seemed to make it better. Unfortunately I still don't know what caused the ailment.
